The Var department, is blessed by Gods and by nature with superb wines bursting with the sunshine of the South and the sea air, to give you pleasure...
Maison Vignes & Mer provides a great range of characteristic Provence wines and more specifically from the privileged "Terroir" from the Bandol emblematic appellation, regarded as one of the
best french appellations.
They provide the best value for money, an ability to age very well, especially with the Bandol Appellation, thanks to the Mouvèdre grape, the king of the provencal and Bandol varieties.
You'll find a wine to suit any occasion, to accompany each dish, among the rosés and the reds.
- The IGP Rosé du Var, a wine to be drunk young and fresh, for an aperitif or served with a summer meal.
- The AOP Côtes de Provence rosé, more concentrated (50 hl/ha), more length in the mouth, to be drunk in 2-3 years. It will accomodate your fish, tapas, seafood and grill.
- The AOP Bandol rosé, even more concentrated (36 HL/Ha), a more intense colour and a very long finish. It should drink well in 5 years, It will evolve, from an ample
but fresh wine, ready to drink, to a powerful wine, with richness, a great deal of substance and a roundness in the end note. Gastronomic rosé, suited to accompanying more meals than the
aperitif, perfect with spicy grills, fish, shellfish and exotic dishes : asian cuisine, tajines... Our suggestion : Try an old Bandol rosé with a chocolate dessert.
- The AOP Bandol rouge, very concentrated (only 30 HL/Ha), with a dark colour, a very good length, a complex nose of aromas of red fruits evolving towards candied fruit
aromas then liquorice and tabacco flavours. It is capable of ageing up to 15 years and more. It will be perfect with red meats or duck with flavoured sauces and wild.
